University now able to offer online reservations, track maintenance, fleet costs and more
CHANTILLY, VA, May 1, 2013 --The University of Arkansas - Fort Smith (UAFS) has selected FleetCommander fleet and motor pool software to automate the management of its 35-vehicle fleet of sedans, minivans, cargo vans, and club cars. The announcement was made today by FleetCommander creator Agile Access Control, Inc. (Agile).
"We are thrilled to see UAFS get rid of time-consuming manual processes and implement our web-based system. Not only will our online reservation system offer convenience to the many users of their fleet, administrators will also be able to collect the utilization data they need to see whether they have the right mix and number of vehicles to meet their fleet's mission," says Ed Smith, president of Agile.
The roll-out of motor pool technology is part of UAFS's efforts to eliminate such labor-intensive processes such as paper trip logs, email reservations, and preventative maintenance task tracking that are all done by hand now.
UAFS will be among the first new FleetCommander customers to take advantage of the newly-released FleetCommander Version 4.9 that has many new features and enhancements, including a new mileage and cost report, which offers deeper total-cost-of-ownership information; a redesigned kiosk dashboard with improved functionality and increased performance; and a new telematics tab for configuring settings on our telematics devices.
