Jon Roodschild 300x400Agile Fleet is pleased to announce the appointment of Jon Roodschild to our Client Success Team. Jon brings a wealth of fleet experience to his role, having formerly worked with our FleetCommander solution as Indiana University’s (IU) Fleet Services Daily Rental Pool coordinator. “We are thrilled to have Jon join our Client Success Team. He has first-hand experience with the challenges fleet professionals face daily, so we are confident he is a perfect fit for this client-facing role,” says Ed Smith, president of Agile Fleet. For the past ten years, Jon served as IU’s “front line” for fleet services. “Being on the front line at IU’s fleet department, some even said I was the “face” of the motor pool! Now that I am at Agile Fleet, I look forward to establishing a close connection with our clients, especially since I have walked a mile in their shoes,” he says. "I want them to feel confident that I understand their needs and can help them optimize the FleetCommander solution to address those needs.”

At IU, Jon managed the daily rental pool used by faculty, staff, and students for official University business travel. The 36-vehicle IU fleet consists of large SUVs (most often used by university field labs for their off-road capability and passenger capacity) and sedans. IU's vehicles crisscrossed the state and country for community engagement, admissions, recruiting, and other official business.

“Jon’s 10 years of experience with Indiana University gave him expert level knowledge in vehicle sharing, fleet logistics, and customer support. Jon is great at researching problems and helping find solutions. I have no doubt that Agile Fleet customers will find his dedication to understanding and assisting with their fleet issues a huge benefit,” says Amanda Wilson, Director of Indiana University Fleet Services.

Jon is an avid musician who loves playing trombone, singing with his family, and writing songs. Prior to his time at Indiana University, he enjoyed an accomplished career in the Print Music Industry, specializing in both elementary and choral music.
